How important was the Hammond organ in rock music?
How important was the Hammond organ in rock music in the 70s and early 80s, and what is your favorite Hammond organ solo …
It was very important, but not so much in the early 1980s ~ more late 1960s and up through the 1970s. Some of my personal favorites include: ~ 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' ~ Procol Harum 'Gimme Some Loving' and 'I'm A Man' ~ Spencer Davis Group "Tubular Bells '~ Mike Oldfield' Sunny '~ Billy Preston" Do not Stop' ~ Fleetwood Mac (although it was actually a Clavinet) Sky: I completely forgot 'Child In Time'…!
